ARTIST'S STORY
Madeleine Arch is a part-time Artist and full-time Art Director currently residing in New York, NY. Originally from central New Jersey, Madeleine draws much of her artistic inspiration from the natural environment that surrounded her youth.
Her parents quickly recognized her interests and started sending her to art classes near and far. She began taking classes in the back of a retail store in Frenchtown, NJ. By the time she graduated high school, she had attended classes at both the University of the Arts (then Moore School of Art) and Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA. It was during these long car rides to Saturday art classes that Madeleine felt inspired by the scenery the garden state had to offer.
Madeleine eventually found herself at Boston University's College of Fine Arts and College of Communication. There she earned a BS in Mass Communication with focuses in Art History and Advertising, as well as a Minor in Visual Arts. In the Fall of 2017, Madeleine partook in the Art Administration Study Abroad Program in London, UK where she completed an Internship with the Pontone Gallery, toured dozens of museums and galleries, and participated in academic discussions about art with scholars and artists alike.
Some personal highlights from Madeleine's art career include meeting painter, Malcolm Liepke and holding original works by Joseph Albers,
After graduation, she landed a job as an Art Director at an advertising agency in Midtown, Manhattan. Though she is committed to her full-time job, she is ready to evolve her style as an artist and share her artwork with the New York art community.
